Lesson Coordinator / Customer Service
Background:
Funky Munky Music is an exciting local business in Shawnee, KS (Kansas City metro) looking for an upbeat, detail-oriented Lesson Coordinator. If you are an outgoing, warm personality and someone who is able to gain the respect and trust of teachers, parents and children, then we would like to speak with you. The ideal candidate will be a team player, a good internal and external communicator, and an emerging leader. Responsibilities:
In the position of Lesson Coordinator, you will frequently make the company's first impression on a customer. The ability to make that impression a favorable one, and maintain excellent customer relationships long-term is a key aspect of this position. Other key responsibilities include:
- maintaining accurate calendars for all instructors
- managing financial aspects of monthly billing
- maintaining accurate contact information for all students
- tour new and prospective students through the building and studios
- signing up new students in a consistent, organized manner
- matching students with instructors to find a good fit
- monitoring student / parent goals to maximize customer retention
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; associates or bachelors degree preferred
- 1-2 years administrative and customer service experience
- Mastery of the Internet, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Outgoing, warm personality
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to grasp concepts quickly and work effectively with minimal supervision
- Ability to effortlessly interact with students, parents, and customers of all types
- Ability to remain calm in challenging or tense customer interactions, and resolve all issues to the customer's satisfaction
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Reliable transportation
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator helpful, but not required
- Knowledge of musical instruments and accessories helpful, but not required

Salary commensurate with experience.
